"Okay, who's drinking what?" Orlando looked up from where he stood at the bar. "Or are we waiting for the adults to show up?"

"Adults?" Elijah peered at Orlando, peered at Dom, glanced curiously at Dave.

"He means the Eternal Idiots and Sean and Vig," Dom told him.

"Oh, right." Elijah nodded, returned his attention to the video game. "I'd say start now. Then they have themselves to blame if we're drunk because they're late."

"That's --"

"Don't, Dave." Orlando shook his head, filling the glasses. "That's Elijah logic, and you'll never figure it out."

"I'm not sure I want to," Dave replied from his splayed out position on the sofa.

"Alright, I've been here for a half an hour already, and you haven't told me a single bloody thing," Dom announced, seating himself on the coffee table. "What's up with you and Harry?"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't start with me, we're the same bloody age, and I've known you almost all your life." Dom poked Dave in the chest with a slim finger. "What's going on?"

Elijah rolled over to his back, having given up the game. He rested his head on his hands as he watched them. "Does he mean Harry as in your Harry, Orli?"

"Yep." Orlando grinned and started handing out glasses. "Only he's not exactly my Harry," he said, dropping down onto the sofa beside Dave, legs stretched out on the coffee table.

Elijah's eyes moved from Orlandoi to Dave to Dom. "Oh, this should be interesting," he muttered.

"Well, he was never just your Harry to begin with," Dave stated. "He was always Karl's."

Dom pursed his lips. "You're trying to change the subject, Wenham. Give over."

"He's claimed me."

"He's what?!" Dom's feet thumped to the floor, and his eyes went completely round.

"I'm..." A soft smile played on Dave's lips. "I'm finally getting him."

Dom looked beyond stunned. "Fuck me..." His eyes narrowed and his gaze swept over Orlando. "What about you?"

"What about me?" Orlando asked, crawling across Dave's lap to grab the television remote.

"So, you're not with Harry anymore?" Elijah asked

Orlando twisted around, punched the button to mute the volume on the game. "No, it just means that I'm now sharing Harry with Karl and Dave. Close your mouth, Dom, something's going to land in it."

"I don't fucking believe this." Dom dropped his head in his hands.

"It's not so bad," Dave replied, pulling Orlando completely down on his lap. "I could've been in love with Vig for the last eighty years. And I get this one's vamp in the bargain..." A quick smile at Orlando. "And that's not a bad thing at all."

"With Karl...you're..." Dom raised his head, looked at the two of them. "With Karl? You hate Karl."

"Amazing what 80 years of competition will disguise, isn't it?" Dave replied cheekily.

Orlando sipped his drink, then shifted. He sprawled back comfortably against Dave and grinned at Dom. "You look a little...confused? Distressed?"

"Wait, wait, wait." Elijah waved his hands in the air. "So both of you are pets to both Karl and Harry now?"

Orlando shrugged. "Something like that."

"I do not want to know," Dom stated, draining his drink and standing to get another. "This is just fucked."

"Think we've managed to completely tweak Dominicus," Dave grinned, placing a quick kiss on Orlando's neck. "Poor kid's spent all this time thinking it was all about monogamy."

"It is all about monogamy, you stupid prat." Dom sat back down on the coffee table, crossed his legs under him.

Orlando let his head fall back on Dave's shoulder, watched Dom through his lashes. "It's only about monogamy if Harry and Karl aren't involved."

"I'm confused." Elijah frowned. "Orli's bonded to both of them, but not you, and you're not bonded to anyone?"

"Not yet. You were there for Orli's ceremony, yes?" Dave smiled at Elijah's nod, absently stroking Orlando's arm. "Well, I need to go through that with Harry and Karl."

"And the two of you?" Dom's gaze darted between the two of them.

"What about us? We share them, and they get us and each other." Dave looked a bit confused.

"No, I meant the two of you aren't going to...I dunno...you're not going to bite him or anything?" Dom asked.

Orlando blinked, looking confused. "Why would he do that?"

Elijah's eyes grew bigger, if that was possible, and he stared at Orlando and Dave. "Are you going to bite him?"

"Why would I want to...oh. You don't think...?" Dave dropped his chin on Orli's neck, looked at bit thoughtful.

"Dunno, anything's possible at this state," Dom said, propping his head on his elbow.

Orlando finished nuzzling the side of Dave's neck before lifting his head. "Doesn't matter. There's no reason for Dave to bite me or bond with me or anything like that."

"Might be," Dom shrugged. "You're still mortal, he's still a vampire. Even with Karl and Harry's protection it might still hurt you."

Orlando's eyebrows snapped together in a frown. "What might hurt me?"

"The sex," Dom replied matter-of-factly.

"What sex?" Dave asked.

"Oh, God," Elijah muttered, covering his face. "I don't wanna know."

"You know...the two of you." Dom made a vague waving motion at the two of them. "Don't tell me you haven't brought it up with the eternal idiots yet."

Elijah dropped his hands and stared at them expectantly, but didn't say anything.

Orlando looked at Dave. "Is he making any sense to you? Because he lost me a few sentences back."

"You're not thinking that..." Dave's voice trailed when Dom only nodded. "Fuck me, Dominicus. We're not shagging each other."

"Then why are you so cozy with each other if nothing's going on?" Dom pointed out, waving a finger at the way Orlando was still draped on Dave.

"He's got a point." Elijah propped his chin on one hand, grinned at their expressions.

"We're friends," Orlando stated with an emphatic nod of his head. "And there's nothing going on. Christ...Karl'd kill me!"

"No, he wouldn't." Dom and Dave said the words simultaneously, then grinned at each other.

"Says you," Orlando mumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

"So why're you still sitting in his lap, dork?" Elijah grinned at Orlando's frown.

"Because I'm comfortable."

"Whole sofa," Dom pointed out.

Dave tilted Orlando's head to him. "He wouldn't touch you. If Karl was the jealous type...hell, if Harry was the jealous type, they'd have never claimed you. Or me."

"That's reassuring," Orlando murmured. He closed his eyes for a moment, then placed a hand on the back of the sofa to lever himself off Dave's lap.

"So does that mean you two are or aren't sleeping together?" Elijah flapped his hands rapidly when Orlando opened his mouth. "Or will be or whatever."

"No, we're not," Dave answered, pulling Orlando back down. "But this is something we need to discuss."

"I don't bloody believe this," Dom sighed, then stood. "Come on, Lij, let's find something to eat in this monstrosity of a house. Sean's just told me they'll be at least a half hour, and I'm starving."

"Sounds good to me." Elijah stood and threw one last glance over his shoulder before following Dom out of the room.

Orlando sat quietly, hands in his lap, watching them leave. Once they were gone, he remained quiet, studying his fingernails. Finally, he glanced at Dave. "So what's there to discuss? You're sleeping with Harry, I'm sleeping with Karl, occasionally we're swapping around."

Dave smiled, cupped Orlando's face in his hand. "Yes, but Dom made a good point. What about the two of us?"

"Us? There isn't an us." Orlando squirmed a bit. "Is there?"

"You want there to be?"

Orlando stared at Dave, eyes wide, lips parted. "I don't know," he said, voice soft. "I didn't...I mean...."

"Something to think about."

Orlando continued to watch his hands, a thousand different thoughts racing through his brain. Hard to sort them all out, hard to figure out what to say. So, he said nothing.

"We don't have to do anything." Dave's voice was soft.

"No, I know. Choice. I remember that bit." Orlando let out a small chuckle, looked into compassionate eyes. He gave in to the urge to brush a small bit of hair back from Dave's forehead, and a brief vision of doing this for Karl and Harry flashed through his mind. Familiar gesture...a habit already. "This is just..."

"Sudden, yeah." Dave nodded. "Just got used to being friends with you."

Orlando thought about that, too. Thought about shared laughter and easy smiles, and the way that he and Dave just seemed to flow effortlessly into each other, completed each other's sentences, shared the same tastes. "What if there isn't any...you know..." He glanced up, then quickly back down at his hands.

"Any?"

"Spark," Orlando finished on a sigh. "What if we're just...you know...not compatible?"

"Just...hold on..." Dave leaned his head in slightly, covered Orlando's lips with his own. Orlando made a soft sound, brought a hand up to cup the back of Dave's head. His tongue slid out, just touching the tip of Dave's before retreating. Without thinking, he tilted his head a bit, enough for Dave to deepen the kiss if he wanted.

It was nice.

Alright, it was more than nice.

It was, Orlando admitted to himself in the part of his brain that was still thinking rationally, pretty amazing. Dave's tongue followed his, sliding them together, more a languid exploration than an all out duel. Not overwhelming, not an assault, but, nevertheless, it was a kiss that claimed. A kiss between equals that somehow still managed to completely arouse the both of them by the time Dave lifted his head. "Fuck," he breathed, resting his forehead against Orlando's.

"Mmm." Orlando smiled, eyes still closed. He pressed a small kiss to the corner of Dave's mouth, shifted in his lap. "Ever get the feeling that your life has just gotten a whole lot more complicated?"

Dave sighed, curled his body around Orlando's, holding him tight. "Yeah...yeah I do."

Orlando snuggled into Dave's embrace, head resting on Dave's shoulder. "Now...you going to help me figure out how to explain this to them?"

"Of course." Dave sounded a bit indignant. "But I'm telling you, it will be fine. They'll most likely be thrilled."

"I hope so," Orlando mumbled against Dave's neck. "Because I have a bad habit of pissing them off without trying."

"Well, we'll just be subtle about it then."

A soft snort drifted from the vicinity of Orlando's mouth. "Harry will tell you that I'm never subtle. He'd be wrong of course." He lifted his head, grinned, and kissed Dave again.

Dave let his head fall back, sank into the lips expertly sliding on his. //Of course.//
